Since we last parked at the Golden State, we decided we were having way too much fun and it was worth a longer stay!
Keeping it near the bay, we now have long time forum member, Pam Parisi of P Squared Studios to show us along the gorgeous town of Los Gatos near San Jose! With its picturesque small town vibe, Los Gatos has the kind of weather that money can’t buy which we suspect may be the reason why it was home to the famed author John Steinbeck for many years. It’s looking like a perfect day for a cupcake and a bike ride…whadaya say?
My husband, daughter and I moved from Dallas, Texas, to the San Jose, California, area about four years ago. It’s taken me awhile to get used to it but overall I’ve really enjoyed it here. You definitely can’t beat the weather and scenery!
One of our favorite places to hang out is downtown Los Gatos. It’s situated at the bottom of the Santa Cruz Mountains with tall redwood trees and a stream running through the middle of it. Downtown has so many great activities for our family. My daughter’s preschool is located there as well as our church, great restaurants and even better shops. There’s a great park in the middle of everything with fountains that the kids love to get wet in. Needless to say we frequent the area several times a week and it’s definitely where all the locals hang out.
