I don’t know about you, but when I first started out in photography, I collected actions like mad. I couldn’t get enough actions and thought that actions were the key to a fabulous picture. As time goes on and I continue to refine my knowledge of photography and editing, I am also refining my collection of actions to those that fit my style and my workflow. Among the handful of sets I’ve kept are Sarah Cornish’s My 4 Hens Action Sets.
I’m rather particular about actions these days. They must be easy to use and tweakable (I think I made that word up). My 4 Hens actions are layered and they don’t flatten after they run so you can take each layer and play with it until you get the desired result. I also love that the action will first duplicate your image before it runs the action on it. That way if you change your mind, you can simply close the entire image and you won’t lose your original.
My 4 Hens offers actions in all shapes and sizes for a variety of styles and desired effects. There is something for every editing need. She offers actions for Photoshop and Elements, presets for ACR and Lightroom, textures and overlays, as well as premade logos, templates, and cards. If you haven’t visited her shoppe, it’s a “Must Do” for today!
Here are a few of my images using some of my favorite My 4 Hens “go-to” actions..jpg)

Not only is Sarah a genius at creating editing tools for photographers, but she is an amazing natural light photographer herself. I had the opportunity recently to find out a little more about Sarah by asking her some questions. Those answers and some of her favorite images will be featured on my blog tomorrow. Be sure to stop by for a huge dose of inspiration!
