TRA RadLab Review | Could It Be Radder?

Truth be told, TRA has to be my favorite set of actions. EVER. Like trends that come and go, action sets have flown in and out of my life. TRA is that go to set that always gets it right no matter the photo. They still fit me and they always “say” the right thing.

Not even 20 minutes after buying Photoshop four years ago,  I had both sets of Totally Rad Actions- The Original and The Revenge. I may have been just a newbie on the scene but I could tell as much that these actions were going to be a necessity to my workflow. TRA and Totally Rad TV single-handedly taught me about the Photoshop basics of masking and opacity. When TRA introduced Lightroom presets, I bought those too and they quickly integrated themselves into my workflow.

The fantastic thing about TRA is that they never follow the industry, they lead it. They can always somehow foresee what’s needed in this ever changing photography world. They simplify and make our workflows even faster.

So none of us should be surprised by the amazing functionality of RadLab. RadLab is like nothing you have seen before but so amazingly simple to use.  Select the photo you want to edit and run RadLab. Within seconds, you have a real-time snapshot of what 78 different effects or “stylets” (28 new and 50 from the favorite actions) can do for your photo -think Lightroom’s “Preview Window”.

Voila! Caffeinated instant gratification!

Here’s a peek at the lovely interface…

I know you’ve been there, and who hasn’t? Youve put your beginning touches on your photo and you want to finish it off with a little somethin’ somethin’ and you’re stuck.

“Is this the action I liked last time? Let me run and see…”
Nope.
And off to delete the action and try the next…

You just wasted 20 minutes.  Not very rad if you ask me.

Never again. RadLab encourage you to be creative and play to your heart’s content to customize your own look. And get this: you can save your favorite combination of stylet recipes so they’re yours ANYTIME. Nothing to search, jot down, or remember- RadLab records your own personal stylet cookbook of recipes for you to reference and use in your snapshot of stylets. And if you prefer, you can record any RadLab recipe as an action (although I personally prefer working in RadLab’s super fast interface).

You have to try it to see it! My current favorites are “Divine Light”, “Charcoal BW” and “Sugar Rush”.  I’ve made several recipes starting with these stylets- the experimenting is addicting!

And now you’re even lucky enough to get to try these and the other 77 awesome stylets of RadLab FREE for 30 days. Just head here, follow the instructions and you’ll be headed to a lightening speed workflow in no time! Tell me I’m not right. Totally Rad Actions, you’ve done it again.
